About the Event

EVENT SCHEDULE

Join us for the MVEE: May 15-17 in Colorado Springs

The Military and Veterans Employment EXPO is a three-day event to help transitioning vets and their spouses better prepare for civilian careers.  Held in Colorado Springs, May 15-17, it is a new and improved approach to preparing for a career fair. For two days, participants spend learning about specific industries and working with mentors.  Day three puts all the training to use with a hiring event (career fair).

All employers attending the hiring event have been vetted and have job openings.  This is open to all military and spouses; however, those who have attended the industry specific training are given the opportunity for early entrance on May 17 for the hiring event.

MVEE

As the U.S. economy struggles to regain its footing, job fairs can be found popping up all over the state. But the Military and Veterans Employment Expo is different.

Partnerships

Government agencies such as the Department of Defense, the Department of Labor, the Colorado Department of Labor & Employment, and the Colorado National Guard and community partners such as Pikes Peak Workforce Center, and the Return2Work nonprofit group are collaborating to organize this important event.

A Key to Your Success

As the late-2011 withdrawal date of U.S. forces from Iraq has passed, more heroically discharged military personnel are requiring workforce-reintegration support. The Military and Veterans Employment Expo will become a key part of many veterans' redevelopment programs.

  • Hello Mrs. Hessler, I attended your seminar at MVEE and would like to connect. The info you provided really helped me in my job search. I am taking all I gain at classes and passing on testimony about how vital they have been to my career search and fighting complacency.
